Bhutan in June
Monsoon begins — lush, lower prices, fewer tourists.
June marks the start of Bhutan's summer monsoon. The valleys turn deep green, hiking trails are quieter, and prices drop to off-season levels. The trade-off is afternoon clouds and rain that can hide the high mountains for days at a time. The Kurjey Tshechu in Bumthang on June 24 is the month's quiet highlight.
Weather in June
Paro and Thimphu: 15 to 25°C (59–77°F). Mornings clear, afternoons cloudy with thunder showers.
Punakha: 20 to 32°C (68–90°F). Hot and humid — the lowest comfort point of the year here.
Bumthang: 11 to 22°C (52–72°F) — much milder than the lower west.

Best for
Budget-conscious travellers, photographers who love dramatic monsoon light, and anyone who prefers empty trails over crowds. Bumthang stays comfortable while the western valleys swelter.
Caveats
Mountain views are unpredictable. Roads can have brief landslide closures. Tiger's Nest is doable but slippery on the ascent — wear proper shoes.
