Bhutan in September
Monsoon ends, festivals begin — peak conditions return.
September is the start of Bhutan's autumn peak season. Monsoon clouds clear by mid-month, mountain views return, and the calendar fills with major festivals — most notably Thimphu Drubchen (Sept 17–19) and Thimphu Tshechu (Sept 21–23) at Tashichho Dzong, back-to-back at the same venue. Pricing is at its yearly high.
